Founder & Creative Director hey i’m Errika, a millennial manager and gen z mentor who spent a decade in events, higher ed and nonprofit partnerships before deciding gen z deserved a space for in person community building and authentic career experiences. as founder and creative director, i set the vision for gzt, the brand voice, the event series, workplace workshops, the newsletter, the whole ecosystem. all while leading the team of gen z creatives, professionals, and students who bring it to life.
Makayla Batts
Head of Events hey, i'm Makayla, a recent Howard University grad (B.A. Public Relations) with a background in event planning, experiential marketing, and communications. i started at gzt as our special events intern, and now i own our events calendar, cultivate the partnerships that bring our events to life, and lead the team that makes it all run smoothly on the ground. when i'm not planning the next gzt event, i'm working toward becoming a beauty & entertainment attorney; basically, i just love a good brand and a good room.

gzt is also powered by a growing team of gen z volunteers — creatives, students, and early-career professionals who bring our events, content, and community to life. we recruit on a rolling basis across roles like event managers, who support event promotion and on-site coverage, and other contributor roles as gzt grows. if you're looking to build real experience while helping shape a brand made for your generation, we're always looking for people who want in.
